With Twitter’s growth and the popular trend of users personlising their own space there is another trend emerging. Designers are beginning to customise there twitter bird icons to show the status of tweets in their blogs or simply to direct users to follow them.
Twitter as most of you will already know is a free micro-blogging service not to mention a great networking tool that allows you to send, receive and read others updates or tweets as they are known. With just 140 characters to play with in each tweet it’s great for buzzing things while your on the fly, reeling off random comments and sharing things you’ve just seen.
We keep adding to this set whenever we get a spare minute and thought it was about time we created the icons with a different spin on them updated strokes, highlights and shading all feature in these sets all lovingly created by the design team at FHOKE. Last week we watched a short video from Think Vitamin where Ryan Carson talked with Paul Boag about ‘The Demise Of The Website’ (amongst other things). But what was he really getting at? Well having talked about it within the team we think he was trying to get across that your website (however great it is) is not enough when it comes to attracting new business via the web.
Bar codes. We see them in our every day life from your morning milk to the swipe card for your evening gym membership. But who’s actually given them a second thought? As designers we come to accept that space needs to be made for these black lines and every time think just how boring these are.
