We love twitter. There we've said, and so should you. We've posted this quick blog post because a lot of you newbie clients are starting to embrace Twitter and for a very good reason. To drive traffic and relevent customers through your door. But you may or may not know there is a new Twitter? Below are answers to a few of the common questions about the new Twitter.

Learning to say no at the right time can save you and your company time, effort and and a lot of pain. Said at the wrong time and it'll bring you all of those and more.
We were recently offered a project to work on solely as designers to another agencies project. We've worked with these guys before and love working with them and still do. The budget was great and with the business booked out for a whole week it seemed to make great business sense to take it on. We'd already figured that this project alone could easily be used to re-invest in a new mac and all the software plus more for a new employee so there was a great reason to take the project on. But things don't always run smoothly and in hindsight we should have refused the project from our original gut feeling.

With Twitter's growth and the popular trend of users personlising their own space there is another trend emerging. Designers are beginning to customise there twitter bird icons to show the status of tweets in their blogs or simply to direct users to follow them.

Twitter as most of you will already know is a free micro-blogging service not to mention a great networking tool that allows you to send, receive and read others updates or tweets as they are known. With just 140 characters to play with in each tweet it's great for buzzing things while your on the fly, reeling off random comments and sharing things you've just seen.

If you use Twitter you'll have started to notice the emergence of the use of #hastags along the way. Many of us might have thought that someone accidentally typed something in on their tweet by hitting the # symbol, but really they are simply making it easier to use Twitter. The hashtag is basically a tool used to sort through and link conversations on Twitter.

For many years we at FHOKE have used MSN Messenger to drop friends and colleagues short messages and interesting links, and from examples I’ve seen of Twitter - it doesn’t seem all that different.
