A Set of 14 Free Social Icons

Sites Get FHOKE’d

Yay! We’ve just FHOKE’d three new sites this week. These customers have taken advantage of our years of interface design experience and attention to detail when it comes to the build of websites and are already experiencing online success. Our work here isn’t over yet though. We’ll continue to review the sites in the coming weeks and make tweaks once we know how the sites are working. That’s right we continue to make sure the site looks great and works for the customer and user. Go us!

Great Ways to Find Fonts Online

Free or bought, fonts of a high quality are always great to have in your font book, but nine times out of 10 they are extremely hard to find and its a very time consuming process. It takes a lot of patience to find somewhere for that ideal font you are after. We are constantly on the lookout for typography-related sites, always looking for the latest fonts to fill our need for the best and when we do we are sure to bookmark that site. So today we’d like to share some of those sites with you to help with that ball-ache of finding the best fonts. Future of Web Design London 2009

So with the Future of Web Design over we have a look back at yesterday’s event and what we took away from it. There was a lot going on at this year’s event, from talks about typography on the web, tearing up the rule book when designing for clients through to a great talk about designing effective mobile interfaces.

Held at Kensington Town Hall, London, the event was a huge success pulling in some big names in the industry, and all credit to the guys at Carsonified for putting together a great day of speakers.

Breadcrumbs in Web Design

A type of secondary navigation, “breadcrumbs” (or “breadcrumb trails”) are a user friendly way of showing where the user is within a site. Breadcrumbs are normally found within sites that have more than 2 levels of navigational links. You’ll also see them in applications that have more than one step (”signposting”), for example on a checkout or booking system where a progress bar is needed.
