Our Office Closing Hours for April 2012

It's been a long time coming but this month Ben get's married!!! Some of you already know, but those that don't can imagine being a small, close team, we are all jetting off to join up with him in Italy to celebrate. This all means we are having to close the offices down for 4 days at the end of this month so please be understanding and bear with us while we are away. We will be closing the offices from 4:00pm GMT (BST) Monday 23rd April 2012 and opening the doors again on Monday 30th April 2012.

The Importance Of Feeling In Design

It occurred to me recently that the term 'Look & Feel' is something that many people just use to describe how something looks, without really thinking about what it means. As the term suggests what it really means is that the look of something has an effect on the way it makes you feel. It's way more than just 'How It Looks', it's about impact and the feeling that's evoked when you look, feel or interact with something.

A Refreshing Take On Logos From A 5 Year Old

A great video doing the rounds today from Cincinnati, Ohio based designer Adam Ladd. What started out as a fun Sunday project with his daughter on brand logos has turned into a YouTube hit with almost 500,000 views (as of 01/02/2012 12:30GMT). What's so great is the simple take on these logos and its clear some brands have been more successful than others in appealing or exposing themselves to such a young audience. Scary or not? Feedback with some comments...

Back in November we found out that one of our sites ‘Fashion Photography Exposed’ won an Awwward, which was awesome news and a great honor. This month see’s the release of their book ‘The Best 365 Websites Around The World’ in which our site appears on page 168.
