Cortex AI Terms

By installing, accessing, or using Cortex AI, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Cortex AI plugin (“Plugin”), developed and provided by Fhoke Ltd (“Fhoke”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

1. Overview of the Service

Cortex AI is a WordPress plugin that integrates third-party artificial intelligence (“AI”) providers into the WordPress environment to assist with:

  • Content generation and transformation
  • Image and video generation
  • Accessibility enhancements (e.g. alt text generation)
  • Workflow automation within WordPress

Cortex AI operates as a connector and interface layer, enabling you to use third-party AI services directly within WordPress.

2. Eligibility

You must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have the legal authority to enter into binding agreements
  • Use the Plugin in compliance with applicable laws and regulations

3. Licence Grant

Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, Fhoke grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Cortex AI on the number of websites permitted by your chosen plan.

4. Subscription & Pricing

Cortex AI is licensed on an annual subscription basis:

  • Single Site Licence
  • Multi-site Licence (e.g. 5 websites)
  • Unlimited Licence

4.1 Renewal

Subscriptions renew annually unless cancelled prior to renewal.

4.2 No Refunds

All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

5. Third-Party AI Providers

Cortex AI integrates with third-party services, including but not limited to:

  • OpenAI
  • Google Gemini
  • Stability AI
  • Claude
  • Unsplash

5.1 Your Responsibility

You acknowledge that:

  • You must supply your own API keys
  • You are solely responsible for all usage, charges, and compliance with those providers’ terms
  • Fhoke does not control or guarantee third-party services

5.2 No Included Usage

Cortex AI does not include AI usage credits. All usage is billed directly by the third-party providers.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Cortex AI to:

  • Generate illegal, harmful, or abusive content
  • Infringe intellectual property rights
  • Create misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent content
  • Violate the terms of any integrated AI provider

Fhoke reserves the right to suspend or terminate access if misuse is detected.

7. AI Output Disclaimer

AI-generated content may:

  • Be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated
  • Contain bias or unintended outputs

You are solely responsible for:

  • Reviewing and validating all generated content
  • Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and brand requirements

Fhoke makes no warranties regarding the accuracy or suitability of AI-generated outputs.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Plugin Ownership

All rights, title, and interest in Cortex AI remain the property of Fhoke Ltd.

8.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of:

  • Content you input
  • Content generated using the Plugin

However, third-party providers may process your data in accordance with their own terms.

9. Data & Privacy

Cortex AI may:

  • Transmit data to third-party AI providers
  • Process content for generation and transformation purposes

By using the Plugin, you consent to this data processing.

You are responsible for ensuring:

  • You have the right to process any data submitted
  • Compliance with applicable data protection laws (e.g. GDPR)

10. Availability & Performance

Fhoke aims to provide a reliable service but does not guarantee:

  • Continuous uptime
  • Error-free operation
  • Availability of third-party providers

Features may change, improve, or be discontinued at any time.

11. Updates & Changes

We may:

  • Release updates, improvements, or new features
  • Modify or discontinue parts of the Plugin

Continued use constitutes acceptance of any updates.

12. Support

Support is provided:

  • To active licence holders
  • Within reasonable commercial limits

Fhoke does not guarantee response times or resolution for all issues.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fhoke shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data, revenue, or business
  • Errors in AI-generated content
  • Costs incurred from third-party AI usage

Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the Plugin licence in the preceding 12 months.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your licence if:

  • You breach these Terms
  • You misuse the Plugin
  • Required by law

Upon termination:

  • Your licence ends immediately
  • You must cease use of the Plugin

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Updated versions will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date.
